In April of 2024 Valeria presented at the 24th Women’s & Gender Studies Conference at Southern Connecticut State University with Creative Connections partner Sarah Weynand about their work as Student Facilitators. Valeria also presented her research paper “When the Voiceless Speak: The Parsley Massacre, Trujillo, and Antihaitianismo in Dominican and Haitian Narratives” at The Master’s in English Regional Conference: New England (MERC) in February 2024.
