In June 2024, Valeria Araujo was published alongside her Creative Connections colleagues on Peatsmoke Journal’s website for a podcast episode she created with clients at Youth Continuum about their experiences and advice for teens and young adults experiencing homelessness. In April 2024, she had an investigative news story published by NPR’s CT Public Newsroom delving into the lack of faculty diversity in higher education. She had poetry published in Folio Art & Literary Magazine in 2021 and 2022. In 2022 she won second place in Folio’s Poetry category for her poem I am my mother’s daughter. She had her short story Pelo Malo published in the 2022-2023 issue of SCSU’s undergraduate research journal Society, Justice, & the Law. In Fall of 2022 she wrote three stories for the 9th issue of the Crescent Magazine on a range of topics including a piece on how religious clubs saw an increase of membership during COVID-19 and another on how class sizes shape student learning.
